God: Old Hat

The answer to all of life’s deepest and most profound mysteries has been revealed. Receiving Me? coffee minion, Bernard Bygott, made the incredible discovery while tinkering with web-layout during an office party which his imaginary colleagues accidentally forgot to invite him to. Douglas Adams fans will be disappointed to hear that the answer is not 42; Kiefer Sutherland fans will be disappointed to hear the answer is not 24. As it turns out, the answer lies within the powers of a virtual jester’s cap, a “cap-o-wisdom” (comprised of zeros and ones– so there are some numbers in there, but no twos or fours, unless you add… moving along). Through rigorous scientific analysis, it has been determined that this cap-o-wisdom is a direct link to God or something equally as special. Enlightenment comes by way of asking the cap any question and then “clicking it”– at which point, the clicker is forwarded to a higher level of consciousness. Yay Nirvana! For convenience and reverence, the cap-of-wisdom has been placed, or rather enshrined, in the top right corner of every page of this mag, next to the “search” field, which, ironically, the cap renders somewhat antiquated. (Those readers who continue to worship the Receiving Me? search field, despite its antediluvian foundation, will remain welcome members of the RM? fold, scorned only on Sundays.) Feel free to make a copy of the cap-o-wisdom and share it with your friends and loved ones. No pressure, but those who have knowledge of the cap and choose not to share it are the first to burn in a fiery pit of misery and damnation, followed immediately after by those who would have heard of the cap had someone cared enough to tell them. Remember, with great ignorance comes great responsibility. Happy Clicking!

Hey, that’s pretty cool. It’s almost like this is a web page with fascinating content and interesting features that are just waiting to be explored by people with discriminating taste who want to be part of the “in” crowd.
