Palin Pick Shrouded in Mystery

DAYTON, Ohio - Theories abound as to why John McCain picked Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his vice presidential nominee.
MSNBC: “She’s a card-carrying lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.”
LA Times: “John McCain clearly concluded that Palin could attract female voters and grab his campaign some Barack Obama-style media buzz…”
Washington Post: “Her evangelical Christian faith– she believes in creationism and is adamantly opposed to abortion– may help [McCain] court skeptical social conservatives.”
New York Times: “Her reputation as a reformer who took on her state party over corruption and wasteful spending could reinforce Mr. McCain’s own maverick appeal.”
Anonymous: “Yes mistress Palin, Johnny’s been a very, very bad boy…. Would you please spank me with this sign?”

I liken Palin to the dorky art girl you end up taking to the prom after you find out that you can’t have Tom Ridge or Joe Lieberman because the ditto-heads who have taken your party hostage won’t stand for it. The only question is, will she take off her glasses and let down her hair?
