Many writers have passed through the RM? pages, never to come back. Few will be missed as much as our dearly departed friend, Pates Baroni. Pates, whose name you are no-doubt mispronouncing (it’s actually two syllables: Pot-Tays), was a gift to all mankind… and… well.. the rest is silence…

A friend of mine suggested that using the picture above is, perhaps, in poor taste. I can’t really make up my mind. On one hand, using the picture places the death of a messiah figure in the context of a satirical statement, on the other hand it is simply a piece of marble– an incredibly beautifully chiseled piece of marble that creates exactly the needed operatic tone. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a venue for people to… say… comment… on the issue… hmm…
