Obama’s URL: “Fight the Smears”

Amidst the heat of any campaign, unpleasant rumors will circulate. Sometimes the gossip is founded in truth, but often the claims are spurious. This is the nature of battle for public office. It takes thick skin and perseverance to run the gauntlet of public scrutiny. We have all had our moments in the spotlight, gunning for some position of power. Mine first came in middle school when I ran for class president under the flag of the Khmer Rouge. It may be hard to imagine, but the vicious slanders I endured were not limited to pre-pubescent lunchroom banter. Teachers, administrators, even the janitorial staff for whom I was fighting spun the accomplishments of Pol Pot into mere genocidal lunacy. I knew what I brought to the table was new, and the new is always feared. Granted, the teaching staff and anyone wearing glasses did have cause for concern, but I was thinking of the greater good. That is where Mr. Obama’s copout really strikes at my nerves. He brings a new vision to America. One of hope and change and other key generic words that make masses of people cheer without asking too many questions. I like the senator from Illinois. Why then would he stoop to rumor bashing? Why create a website to nip hate mongering in the bud? This opens the campaign up to a world of trouble. According to sources at Fox News, an anonymous tip has reporters on a new lead that the “Fight the Smears” website idea was pioneered by a convicted Australian orphan rapist. If I were permitted within fifty yards of the candidate I’d try to reason with the man. Rumors and hate mongering cause fear. Obama is widely loved, but no one fears him. If rumors of the coming caliphate are quashed, how will he strike terror in the hearts of McCain supporting infidels? Mr. Obama there is a chink in your armor, and it is vanity sir. If you want to stay squeaky clean in the eyes of millions you will loose any hope of intimidating the voting citizenry to elect you God King.

I would also like to point out that Pol Pot has come back from the dead and is now working as an advisor to the Obama campaign.
